Cookie Policy
At Bel-Rose International, we are required by UK and EU law, to obtain consent from visitors about the placement of cookies on your electronic device when visiting our website. We do this by displaying a pop-up banner on the website during your first visit - no matter which page you open first. The banner will be removed after you click 'I Accept' and will not appear again whilst browsing other pages during your immediate session. However, if you delete cookies at the end and return later on, the cookie banner will reappear. We explain what a cookie is, why it is used, what cookies are used on our website and how to delete them.
What is a Cookie?
A cookie is a small file which asks permission to be placed on your computer’s hard drive. Once you agree, the file is added and the cookie helps analyse web traffic, or lets you know when you visit a particular site. Cookies allow web applications to respond to you as an individual. The web application can tailor its operations to your needs, likes and dislikes, by gathering information and remembering information about your preferences.
Why do we use Cookies?
We use cookies to identify which pages on our site are being used. This helps us analyse data about web page traffic and improve our website in order to tailor it to our customer needs. We only use this information for statistical analysis purposes and then the data is removed from the system.
How do we use Cookies?
Overall, cookies help us to provide you with a better website, by enabling us to monitor which pages you found useful and which you do not. A cookie in no way gives us access to your computer, mobile phone and tablet/ipdad, or any information about you, other than the data you choose to share with us via our registration or contact form, or other method of communication. You can choose to accept or decline cookies. Most web browsers accept cookies automatically, but you can usually modify your browser setting to decline cookies if you prefer. However, this may prevent you from taking full advantage of the website.
Why do we use third party Cookies?
We use a third party platform (web server) to host our website and a third party app (our forms: necessary for client and candidate registration, and contact form) which automatically places cookies on our site and is compliant with applicable laws, and necessary to provide our service to you.
There are two types of cookies:
-
Session (transient) cookies - These cookies are erased when you close your browser, and do not collect information from your computer. What they do is store information in the form of a session identification that does not personally identify the user.
-
Persistent (permanent or stored) cookies - These are cookies that are stored on your hard drive until they expire (based on a set expiration date) or, until you delete them. These cookies collect identifiable information about the user, such as their web browsing behaviour or preferences for a specific site.
