Duties & Responsibilities

A great role for a highly experienced, organised and proactive person with managerial skills to manage other staff, and handle 4 energetic and lovely children who each  have their own nanny.  You will be responsible for overseeing all duties relating to the children:

  • preparation and readiness for school (breakfast, lunch boxes, taking to school)

  • collect from school and oversee all activities, play dates and tutors

  • liaise with school teachers and private tutors, track progress and communicate with parents

  • undertake all admin and associated planning, payments, purchasing and excursions

  • need to follow a pre-planned schedule (or design and implement accordingly) and keep communication open between relevant parties (parents, nannies, tutors, drivers), so all are aware of plans and logistics, as well as changes

Working Hours & Accommodation

Sunday to Thursday:  06:30 - 08:30/14:30 - 20:00 | Saturday: 11:00 - 19:00 | Friday: Day off

Bahrain: Nanny/Governess

  • Well educated/Early Years educational background (Montessori/ADCE/BA/B.Ed/PGCE or similar)

  • Happy to travel internationally

Duties & Responsibilities

A Bahrani family who is very hands-on with their only child aged just 8 months, is seeking a Nanny/Governess. Someone who has a background in educational development and equally understands the psychology of child development to meet the child's developmental milestones, for example, their cognittive, social, emotional, language and physical needs.  The family also requires a candidate that will:

  • establish a daily routine

  • engage with the child providing age appropriate activities to stimulate the child's curiosity, as the little girl is very bright and needs someone that can challenge her to reach her full potential

  • interact through communication in English and participate in play based learning to encourage and develop new skills (reading, nursery rhymes, songs, painting, building, explore surroundings etc.)

  • undertake all childcare duties pertaining to the child (no housework or cooking etc., as fully-staffed), such as feeding and changing

  • care, nurture and provide a safe and happy environment ensuring the child is well-cared for

Working Hours & Accommodation

6 days per week and 12 hour days | occasionally 7 with consideration given for time off | flexibility required

Start date: July (as soon as flights resume). The trial position is initially for 2-3 months with the potential to become long term for the right candidate.  Due to the current situation, you will be required to quarantine for 2 weeks on arrival, prior to your placement starting. Salary will be paid to cover the quarantine period.

You will be provided with your own accommodation within the grounds of the family residence.
