Governor/Tutor - International


URGENTLY REQUIRED. A qualified and highly experienced Governor/Tutor is required for a high-profile family in London/overseas with international travel.  The Governor's responsibility is to tutor children (KS2) and carry out duties that is typically associated with such roles to the highest of standards.  The role would suit a well-qualified PGCE or B.Ed teacher, preferably a primary teacher or someone with proven experience tutoring curricular subjects and preparing children for independent entrance exams. You will also plan and arrange age-appropriate activities that challenge and are educational and fun. For example, arts and crafts, games such as chess, trips to the museum, theatre, sporting and water activities and so-on as well as introduce the children to new activities to develop their knowledge and skills further.  Good manners, behaviour and respect is important; therefore, a great role model for the children is essential. Essential requirements:

PGCE or B.Ed preferred, but CACHE or similar industry qualifications considered

5 plus years' experience

Native English speaker with UK passport

Key Stage Two experience

Governess - London


A high-profile client residing in London N1 is seeking a kind, caring and nurturing Governess that is able to guide and support two children - twins aged 15 (with SEN - ADHD/Autism) in their daily lives.  An individual that is educated, such as a qualified teacher (PGCE/B.Ed) that can assist the children with their GCSE'S across the curricula; to support homework and bridge gaps within their education is preferred.  The children are very creative, so a person that loves art to creative writing would fit in well with this family.


This is a lovely sole charge position for a Governess who has experience working with teenagers and is happy to fulfill the duties of a Nanny as well, and proxy parent when required. The children have a great bond with their present nanny who has been with the family for a couple of years, so it is extremely important to find the perfect match for them.  

This is a full-time, live-in and permanent position with a guide to duties as follows:

  • Guide, support and encourage children in their daily routines -

  • Take the children to and from school, as well as after school activities

  • Support homework with extension work to close gaps in education, 

  • Plan and organise activities, playdates and visits out

  • Nurture and encourage the children's own interests

  • Ensure the children's school uniform, P.E kit and books are ready in advance e.g., the night before (not left to the final hour!)

  • Prepare healthy meals for the children

  • Ensure areas used by yourself and the children is kept clean and tidy (no heavy cleaning - housekeeper employed)

  • Encourage the children to be independent and be an exceptional role model for them at all times

  • Liaise with staff members, such as the PA and housekeeper and teachers

  • To be proactive and use initiative to seek solutions to problems that may arise (not to go to the PA for every single thing unless warranted), therefore, a can-do attitude is essential to manage all aspects of the children's daily lives and overall safety and well-being at all times

Accommodation:  A lovely annexe attached to the family home is provided comprising of an open-plan living area with kitchenette, a mezzanine bedroom and bathroom.  When proxy parenting is required, a room within the main house is offered.

Schedule:  This is a Monday to Friday position working a split shift during term time. You will work from 7:30 till 9:30 am and again at the end of the school day from 3:30 till 9:30pm.

Tutor/Governor/Governess - London


Our client residing in West London requires a part-time Tutor/Governor/Governess for one child, currently in Year 6. The position requires excellent tutoring experience to be able to provide homework support, in addition to preparing the child for the 11 and13 plus examination.  

Equally important, is for the Tutor to engage the child and ignite his love of learning, by arranging (and partake in when required) outdoor activities, as well as develop his cultural and personal interests.  To be a companion and encourage him to be independent in his daily life, challenge him academically and implement  a structured and balanced learning environment that promotes and meets the child's overall development and well-being.

You need to be an exemplary role model for the child and companion, where good manners, etiquette and strong social skills on how to conduct ones self within social settings is essential.

The household is fully-staffed, therefore, the ability to communicate and work effectively with other members of staff is essential to ensure the smooth running of your position in order to meet the needs of the child.

2 days per week - to be discussed, starting when school finishes and all weekend.  However, the family is understanding that you may want some weekends off.  Maximum hours per week: 25. Governess/Tutor - London


An international family in North London is seeking a Live-in Governess/Tutor/Qualified Teacher for their two children who are in Key Stage Two.  The ideal candidate for this position will be someone who is a qualified primary teacher (PGCE/B.Ed) with curriculum (core and foundation) knowledge across subject matter in order to support the academic side of the role. You will also provide additional educational and leisure time activities enabling a more balanced and holistic approach, which is beneficial to the children's overall well-being and development.  

Duties will include but not limited to - taking the children to and from school, homework support, eat with them at meal times, arrange indoor and outdoor activities, such as arts and crafts, games, visits to the museum, as well as manage their diaries and liaise with their teachers.  

There are two older children within the fully-staffed house who you will mentor when required - one is in secondary school and the other is at college. The younger children will be your main responsibility and there is a nanny employed for all nanny duties.

The family are looking for an English native speaker who is mature, professional, proactive, organised, creative and active.

The working schedule is Monday to Friday from 07:30 - 10:30 and 14:00 to 20:00.  The role is live-in and you may be required to be at the house on Sunday evening, but this could be discussed at interview.  You will be provided with your own room and bathroom during the working week with free time when the children are at school and at weekends. Top salary negotiable for the right candidate. The family would like someone to start at the end of April, 2021. However, finding the right person is more important to them.

Live-in Nanny - North London


Our clients are seeking a Nanny with proven experience working in a similar role and within a fully-staffed home (preferred), as working alongside other staff with excellent communication skills is essential.  You will be responsible for caring for two children aged 8.

Duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Wake up and prepare children ready for the day (shower, brush teeth, dressed)

  • Make sure they have breakfast and prepare their packed lunch for school

  • Carry out laundry duties for the children

  • Prepare all meals including packed lunch and snacks

  • Ensure all general duties for the children are carried out within the home, such as keeping their bedroom clean and tidy

  • Assist the governess when required
